Look in the mirror…
A simple act that is a lesson in mindfulness and self-love
In our daily lives’ rigmarole, rarely do we actually stop and look at our reflection for more than a second.
We just quickly fix our hair or apply lipstick.
Or dart lazy glances at ourselves while we brush our teeth.
Or check if we cleaned up properly.
Today, I invite you to look in the mirror for a little longer.
Take a moment. Or maybe two.
Look in the mirror.
What do you see?
Do you see the spark in your eyes?
The softness of your hair?
The blush in your cheeks?
The crease in your smile?
The clothes softly touching your body?
The curve of your neck?
The vivid colours in your soul?
Don’t focus on the ‘faults’ in your body.
That’s what comes naturally.
Rather, appreciate the wonder that is YOU.
YOU are beautiful.
YOU are amazing.
The person looking back at you is your best friend & life companion. Be nice to it.
Take a deep breath.
Express gratitude to the universe and appreciate everything you have.
